Date Night with frosty temps

Last night DH and I went to see a comedian in concert. Of course it was a fun hilarious time. This is what I wore including my Lands End in Squall coat to protect against the windchill.  I was definitely warm stylish and comfy:

  • Old Navy Flannel Shirt
  • Old Navy Long Sleeve tee
  • Aqua bubble necklace
  • Old Navy boot cut jeans and green skinny belt
  • Miz Mooz Stacy tall boot in whiskey.
My outfit was inspired by an amalgam of all the pins I made fore fall. I can't say any one was the exact inspiration.

I had a funny flashback to the early 80's as I stood in the mirror. All I needed was a wind-resistant crease down the front of my straight leg jeans and lots of ruffles down the front and of my plaid blouse -- this is very similar to an outfit I wore then!

Happy Sunday. Thanks for looking.

OMG I want a teal plaid flannel shirt!!!!  Old Navy, you say?  Please tell me it is current season!

You look great!  The colors are so fab on you.  Hope you had fun last night.

Yes Diana it is from the current season  -- though I did buy it 2 months ago it was early fall. I just searched and they still have it here in petite, regular and tall sizes.

Wow.  Those blue/greens should be your signature colors.  Fabulous on you.

  • Diana replied 10 years ago

Awesome!  How is the sizing compared to, say, Gap or BR?  I haven't bought anything from ON in ages...

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

You are the queen of blue and green, and I love how you've rolled the t at the sleeves.  Looks fab!

The sizing for old navy shirts are pretty true to size. I wear a PXL which is a 16-18P on top and the sizing is spot on. I also have petite size 16 shirts from Talbot's and Lands End and the sizing is comparable.  I can't get a proper fit in ON standard shirt sizes at all -- which is why I'm glad they provide petite sizing online.

BTW  BR & GAP only offer petites sizing in shirts up to size 14 so I can't really compare.

Cute outfit - I love plaid, and you look great!

Thanks, DV!  I just ordered it.  I'm always on the lookout for flannel shirts in non-lumberjacky colors, and bonus this one is my favorite color.  Regular length was available only in M, so I hope it's true to size.

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

Diana -- I hope it works out for you. I know what you mean about lumberjack colors :-D!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Wow, another hit! Love this colour on you. It's just so much fun.
