This will be my last post for awhile. I have started studying for the bar exam in late July (and I hope you all are pulling for me to pass!) I will be under the radar until the beginning of August.
This is what I wore on date night with DH to see Star Trek. I of course love the colors in this outfit. I put it together in my mind during the depths of winter. The happiness factor is pretty dog gone high with this outfit. I feel PRETTY (cue the song!)
I am wearing:
Sweater - Old Navy
Cami - Old Navy (it's a beautiful shade of red-orange)
Jeans - Eddie Bauer bootcut

All the elements are simple, but the combined effect is perfection. I needed this today. I was just in my closet making like Marie Antoinette ---- "Nothing works, I'm so BORED." Need to stop focusing on perfect items, and start thinking more holistically.

Wow, I know you will be working hard. DD went through that process in 2010 for the California bar so I have an idea of what it's like! All the best and *take really really good care of yourself* during the process. Super important, hard to do because you think you need to study just that much more. Maintain your health and your sanity! I know you will have fab study outfits. Of course we will miss you but this is not a forever goodbye so we will look forward to seeing more of you again! The movie is worth seeing. It's predictable but finding out the identity of the villain(s) is unexpected. It's probably fantastic in 3D but the fight scenes tend to drag out in 2D. I like the storyline but I think I'm a little odd because my favorite character is young Spock. -

1. Your outfit looks incredibly fab, as always! I am going to miss you on the forum, but boy, oh boy do I understand. I once told a friend who called me in early July: "Yes, I can talk to you. However, you have to understand, I am studying for the bar right now and I believe I am certifiably crazy. This conversation, therefore, can never be held against me." Bar study is crazy stuff.
2. Don't you know that RED SHIRTS and Star Trek are a recipe for trouble!
3. Good luck on the bar. It is unbelievably crazy making and challenging and terrifying. However, if you study hard, you should pass. It isn't life or death. And get ready. When you were just a law student, you were adorably and hard working and wonderful and everyone loved you. When you are a lawyer, not so much. You were a lion cub. Now you are becoming a lion. ;) Good luck! You have all of us rooting for you! -
