Green and Blue

I pulled this outfit together for this past Sunday when I went to the actual brick and mortar to populate my registry. DH we discovered has a soft spot for 'lil critters. If there was a cute chubby animal printed on it he wanted it for DD. I never thought that I would have to reign him in of all people especially on baby stuff. We went out for lunch and ice cream because we felt like we deserved it after a marathon decision making session.
I'm wearing:

  • J Crew v-neck sweater in green
  • ON maternity flutter sleeve woven top in navy/chartreuse/white
  • LOFT boot cut maternity jeans
  • CROCS  in aqua (so that my feet would not give out!)  ;-)
  • Liz Claiborne yellow tote
  • Sassy Sunnies from Target in blue with cat eye shaped lenses
I took the forum's advice and added more color with my bag and sunglasses so that my shrinking universe of outfits didn't feel so small. No additional accessories because it was truly HOT that day. Happy Thusday! Thanks for looking.

You look very fresh in blue and green -- great combo! And the critter thing made me chuckle :)

    Neat and fresh :)

You look lovely.  And you learned something new about DH  :)  That made me smile.

I always love seeing blue and green worn together. Great look for casual activities. Btw, did I miss something ? DD :-)

Love the color combo! Those shoes are Crocs? So much fun to have a little girl! All those adorable dresses in cute colors with little daisies and ladybugs on them! What fun!

Love you in this color combo, and am happy to see that I can copy this look, right down to the bag.  I can understand DH's lack of control, years ago I worked in an upscale baby clothes department and those little outfits turned my mind to mush!  I was finally buying items to give to people "someday".

Oh my, so funny ... just you wait ... Princess DD will have Dad WRAPPED!

You look terrific as you always do, DayVies!

Yeah!  I missed the announcement that we're waiting for a girl.  So exciting, and yes, even cool little baby item is so very tempting!  Fortunately for me, my mom had a Gymboree visa card!

You look fresh, feminine and modern.

How cute is DH. You look great. How are you feeling?

cciele- I love blue and green together especially with touches of yellow. It feels very spring-like to me. I also love the contrast even though green blue and yellow are all neighbors on the color wheel.

    Thistle
    -  remembering DH's reaction to this darn whale he wanted to buy made me chuckle too. It's a myth that only women are vulnerable to the clutches of baby gear manufacturers.

    Ornella
    - DD will be here at the end of July possibly earlier maybe later... who knows? My due date is 7/31/14. So other than the fact we're expecting a girl you haven't missed much on that front.

Carter - yep those are crocs! I have Beth Ann to thank for opening my eyes to the fact that these plastic shoes could be cute, fashionable and ridiculously comfy.

Gingko - copy away! I am just happy I am able to pull something together copy worthy. I have had the same thing happen to me (not with upscale baby clothes) but working in retail and finding an excuse to buy things.

Torontogirl - DH is well aware that he is going to be completely under her little thumb. I tell him to be strong but I think he's more interested in being weak and spoiling her rotten.

Beth Ann- Oh yes we are looking forward to a little girl. I'd have been happy with either but a little girl is just special. (The baby clothes are cuter!!!)

Deb - moving slower but I feel great. I am just glad I have the luxury of taking afternoon naps!

I love that shade of green on you!!!  So funny about DH, just wait til that little DD arrives as she will steal his heart!  It 's a fun time for you and DH to see new and different sides of each other.. Have fun with it!!

You look great!  I got so sick of my clothes by the end.  Barely anything fit and I had to plan my outfits for the whole work week on Sunday to make sure I had enough bottoms that went with tops.  I had a fairly cohesive maternity wardrobe but there were a few pants and tops that didn't go together and I had to be sure I didn't end up at the end of the week with stuff that didn't match.

I added scarves, jewelry, and started painting my nails again to add some interest to my outfits.

Blue and green is a great color combo for you! The yellow tote is the perfect finishing touch. Yay for well deserved ice cream!

Fantastic outfit! Afternoon naps are the ultimate luxury in my book.
