Holiday weekend wear

I was a whole lot busier this weekend than I'd anticipated. A lot of it was that life administration stuff, changing banks, checking up on accounts, ordering baby basics, making room for said baby basics etc. etc.

There was fun to be had DH ran a 10 mile race on Saturday morning. With all the spectator changes I was not able to cheer him on in person. (Who wants to be in a room full of strangers for 2 hours on a beautiful spring morning at 5am???) Instead we went to brunch mid-morning at our favorite spot.

Sunday I took a break from everything -- I felt like things around the house were getting out of order and needed attention. Yesterday we went to the movies and I really enjoyed our pick - the X Men movie. Anyhow, this is what I wore this weekend:

#1 is from Saturday and #'s 2&3 are from yesterday.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

I wonder if you ever look bad in anything DV? Nothing I have seen!

You look terrific! Love your accessories in #1, and that skirt in #2 is adorable and makes me want to find something similar.

I love the yellow and blue accessories in your first pic. You're looking beautiful, as always!

Nope I have never seen you anything that is less than stellar.

Loving the way you have accessorized #1, you look great!

I've also spent some time hanging out at the finish line to cheer DH on in a race, but usually it's outside on a sunny day and I can wander around, people-watch and sip my coffee ;)

Rabbit - it seemed that the organizers of this race did not want spectators at the finish line. We were to be corralled in a particular area where the only way to see your runner was via jumbo-tron. The experience loses some of its energy when you're forced to stay in one place away from the runners -- it's not really cheering on, in the true cheering sense of the word.

Love the denim jacket with the scarf and necklace in #1! And the other skirt is so pretty.

Brunch definitely sounds way better than a crowded room at 5 a.m.
