So I decided to wear this tunic because I love the colors. Two years ago I was really into teal and charcoal as a color combo crush. I actually bought it because I was wearing a teal blouse that slid all over (it had a beautiful intricate print down the front) but it would not lay correctly (darn satin!). I have since given that lovely blouse to a new owner and this was purchased moments before my evening class. I still love the color but as I have lamented for the past few weeks... I'm still waiting for spring.

Hedgiehog - Thanks for the warm thoughts of sunshine. I am actually preparing for a trip to Florida next week. Yay! So, I'll get to enjoy sunshine and warmth (however briefly).

K can shop -- I have worn this with a belt in the past and that is a great suggestion. Today I decided to dig up the "belt" that came with it because I did not want to emphasize my waistline (this garment puts the belt loops at my natural waist which unfortunately is right under my bust line), I do need to pull the fabric in with this top so that my waist would not be lost.
Ceit -- yep a belt and a jacket. I suppose I could tuck if I found the right bottom
Bj1111 - A button-down + belt would be interesting. I haven't been cultivating my artistic hippie-dippy side lately. I've been really focused on being sharpening my primary style but playing around with this top might be a good way to integrate that side of me.

So, are you planning your Florida capsule (I type with the slightest twinge of envy, but mostly heartfelt good wishes)?

I am fascinated with the process of getting dressed every day -- to me this is more challenging than getting dressed for a big event because what I wear is dictated by my activities, work environment, and the weather. Living in a climate that guarantees four seasons (or at least two extremes) provides both challenges and inspiration.
