I haven't worn this tunic in awhile...

So I decided to wear this tunic because I love the colors. Two years ago I was really into teal and charcoal as a color combo crush. I actually bought it because I was wearing a teal blouse that slid all over (it had a beautiful intricate print down the front) but it would not lay correctly (darn satin!). I have since given that lovely blouse to a new owner and this was purchased moments before my evening class. I still love the color but as I have lamented for the past few weeks... I'm still waiting for spring.

DV I think is just beautiful.  Are your trousers grey?  This is a lovely spring look and i could imagine a jacket layered over it too.

I see why you like it so much; the colours are lovely and it pairs perfectly with the trousers. Sending you warm thoughts from Florida.

It is such a lovely color combo.  Teal is one of my all time favorites.  It looks great on you too, it has a nice drape to it.

Thanks Deborah, Yes the trousers are gray -- a lovely shade of pewter they have a nice sheen to them.  I'll have to try a jacket over it. I think it would add more dimension.

Hedgiehog - Thanks for the warm thoughts of sunshine. I am actually preparing for a trip to Florida next week. Yay! So, I'll get to enjoy sunshine and warmth (however briefly).

Lovely DV!  You always look so gorgeous and stylish.  So, a little o/t: Have you considered a belt with it?  My first impression seeing it was that the tie didn't seem in keeping with your current style as shown in your recent WIWs.  It doesn't seem as crisp and tailored as what you normally wear. Is that a totally random question/observation, or what! :)  Just wondering if that might be part of what has pushed this former favorite to the back of your closet.

Colours are great. I like k can shop's suggestion of a different belt, and maybe a jacket too to change things up.

great color and great execution on the watercolor look!

this might be an out-there suggestion...how about a button down underneath then belted?

These colors look terrific on you. I love long tops like this, they look great with pants.
    Have fun in FL!

Seems like the perfect colour combo for early spring.  Very flattering - your waist  and hips look super slender, which is always a good look.  Love the necklace too.  Fabness.

The YLF forum is on fire tonight! You ladies have given me a lot to think about.  I think it might be time to explore that artistic side more -- especially since I'm exhausted with my winter stand-bys. This is probably the reason why I was thinking about this particular top. I think I have done a really good job of defining the core of my style (so much so that you ladies know me just as well as I now know me ;-)  I did not wear my normal heel height with these trousers (about 3 to 3.5 inches) today which is probably a signal that I'd like something a little more relaxed -- especially since the weather is not ready to change.

-- I have worn this with a belt in the past and that is a great suggestion. Today I decided to dig up the "belt" that came with it because I did not want to emphasize my waistline (this garment puts the belt loops at my natural waist which unfortunately is right under my bust line),  I do need to pull the fabric in with this top so that my waist would not be lost.

-- yep a belt and a jacket. I suppose I could tuck if I found the right bottom

    - A button-down + belt would be interesting. I haven't been cultivating my artistic hippie-dippy side lately. I've been really focused on being sharpening my primary style but playing around with this top might be a good way to integrate that side of me.

The colors are so beautiful on you. I wonder if there are any colors you don't wear well?! I also like the more arty vibe in this outfit, giving a softer impression even if you are still polished and pulled together.

OMG, Day. This is just beautiful. From the colors to the fit. WOW.  ( in bold and capital letters )

This tunic is lovely on you and I like all the suggestions you've received for styling it. The colours are beautiful and I really like the lighter necklace with it.

Teal has such a nice balance of brightness and depth, perfect for the tail end of winter.  Your statement necklace is lovely, too, bold but classy.

So, are you planning your Florida capsule (I type with the slightest twinge of envy, but mostly heartfelt good wishes)?
