Navy and white with a little black

So I don't think it's absolutely necessary for me to invest in a pair of white maternity jeans. Especially since I have a little over 3 months to go. Elizabeth P. did a great pinsperation this past week with white jeans and admittedly I was inspired to pull out my white jeans and see what I could possibly do with them to attempt a copy. I also think this is a great formula.

So none of what I'm wearing is maternity wear -- I'll be able to pull this out again (yay!) after the baby is born. I wore this on a date night adventure yesterday. We tried out a new restaurant -- the food was fabulous. It was actually in my old  neighborhood -- boy has it changed (for the better!). I am wearing:

  • White Eddie Bauer wide-leg jeans
  • Dark blue Old Navy chambray tunic
  • Black Old Navy tank
  • Vera Wang Ballet flats.

All feedback is welcomed and also suggestions for improvement.

You astound me!  You are bossing your clothes around like a costume mistress and looking fab everyday!  Love the crispness of the white trouser with the casually sleek denim top.  Like that classic 501s with a white buttondown --- in reverse!

What Beth Ann said!  You are amazing and this outfit manages to be crisp, casual, flattering and modern all at once.

YLF! I agree with torontogirl that I too will be stealing this outfit idea when I get the chance.

You look great!  The loose pants and chambray shirt look great together.  The snakeskin shoes are fab.

Beth Ann - Thank you! I certainly don't feel as if I'm showing my clothes whose boss :-) but it's nice to know I look as if I do!

I am definitely moving much slower these days and don't have much energy to be fussing with clothes. However when I step outside I don't want to look like I just rolled out of bed and kept going.  Lately I have been lamenting the lack of pattern in my stretchy basics It seems like everything I reach for is black gray blue and possibly white. It may as well be striking if I'm going to be limited ;-)

  • Day Vies replied 9 years ago

I am with you all there is nothing more crisp than white jeans. Silver shoes only seem to heighten the effect.

You have instilled a longing for crisp white trouser jeans that weren't even on my radar before. You look sensational!

I'm guilty of missing so many great threads, but thanks to seeing the photo on The Wall I have landed here. Such great outfit. White jeans are magical piece of wardrobe. I love the colour of your chambray shirt and the shoes are great, subtle finishing touch.
