New Mint Sweater

I am definitely on team wear because I got this in the mail last night and I figured out an outfit for it this morning. I love shades of red with green so I decided to see if my red obi belt from Asos would work with this. I believe I also did a post last month on the fact that my new favorite color combo is mint and gray. I threw in the SE python booties for good measure and this is what I came up with.

The happiness factor with this outfit is pretty high. I was just not able to enjoy it all that much because of the smack down I had with the dustbunnies inhabiting my cube at my externship. Deb suggested that I show those dustbunnies whose boss. Well I did, and it was a draw. I have been in an allergic fog ever since but my cube is a calmer happier place to work. So If I don't look as sparkly as usual it's because I'm still recovering from the clean up.

Let me know what you think. Styling suggestions are also welcomed.

I never knew mint to be a delicious color, with that smile on your face... The dust bunnies couldn't have won!

Haha cube! Sorry you had an allergy attack - so annoying. But the mint is luscious. I like it with trousers, and I think it would look hot with a pencil skirt as well, like that tweedy, textured one you have. The top is voluminous, so the belt really helps to define your =r shape. Go Team Wear!

I love that color on you. So crisp and pretty!

    Another one for team wear!

Sorry about the dust bunnies. I also suffer from dust allergies, so I know your pain. Most OTC drugs don't work to control the symptoms for me, so I really feel your pain!

day vies, love the color...now i challenge you to wear it without the underlayer! fill in with a necklace?

  • Day Vies replied 11 years ago

You know Bj1111, I think I might take you up on that. I was thinking about wearing this to a concert next Friday with white skinny jeans. Hmmm....

Thistle -- me too! Not many OTC's work on my dust allergy. Yesterday I thought I was coming down with the flu until I got home to my dust-free humidified abode and felt 200 times better ;-)

Loving the mint with the burgundy! So fresh and fab :)

White jeans, the SE booties, and this top combination is going to launch me into ORBIT

  • Day Vies replied 11 years ago

ORBIT ?! Well now I'm committed to this outfit . I've got to see that. Angie, you read my mind, I was wondering what to wear on my feet. The SE's are perfect.

Mint green looks so good on you! Wonderful outfit.

Such an amazing top. You do such a spectrum of colour so well! The belt is unexpected but very inspired. Love this.

I tried on mint green jeans yesterday. But they were almost too pale. If they had been this colour I would have pounced!

Such a gorgeous colour on you DV - and shame on those dust bunnies for making you all allergic!

  • Karie replied 11 years ago

Oh, I hear you about the allergies :( Hope you are feeling better!
And I love that color combo on you! You look fantastic in vivid colors. And those booties, oh those SE booties! I am going to have to break down and get myself a pair!

Sorry to hear about your dust bunny allergies. If it makes you feel any better, I am allergic to mice and I have to work with them almost every day. At least your cubicle is spotless now!

You looks wonderful in that mint color, and I really love how you combined it with burgundy belt.

Atta girl! You're dressed for spring cleaning in your fresh green. Love the ease in the silhouette!

Hope you get some fresh air, soon!

Dying over mint with burgundy! Cannot wait to see the outfit Angie suggested. Killer obi belt, too!

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

Great color and sweater cut. I keep wanting to go mint, but hesitate. YLF!

  • Ornella replied 11 years ago

Beautiful. You, the sweater, the color combination, bookending the boots, obi belt, the outfit. You are so glamorous.

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

I just love seeing you in these booties! The mint sweater is so much fun. I think you'll get a lot of wear from it this coming season.

Thank you all so much for empathizing with my allergies. I just woke up from 12 hours of sleep and I feel refreshed. I sound horrible, but I think the worst is over.

Karie -- I am shamelessly encouraging you to get these SE booties. I'd love to see how you punctuate your b/w outfits with these booties.
