Spring Pastels - on a wintery day

It's cold here. No getting around the fact that it snowed this morning though the calendar says it's spring. Old man winter refuses to release his icy grip Here are the (purple and gray) pastels I wore today to celebrate spring but at the same time would keep me toasty warm.
I'm wearing:

  • gray Old Navy  Rockstar skinny jeans
  • Jennifer Lopez lavender sweater
  • Timberland Bethel Buckle boots
Let me know what you think of my wintery/spring pastels. BTW I told you last time that I have been crushing on purple and gray -- this is another version.

You look lovely. Lavender and gray are so beautiful together… soft, feminine and, yes, hinting at Spring. [May it arrive soon!]

I cursed when I saw the snow this morning. Nasty drive into work today!

You look fabulous, and I love the spring colors in winter fabrications!

You look toasty warm in nice spring colors! And thanks for sending the snow my way - we're getting another dose of the white stuff tonight :(

Cozy and lovely. You pull off the soft colors as adeptly as the pops of bold.

What a pretty sweater; it almost has a silvery sheen on my screen. You look springy and warm!

Karie -I am sorry you are getting the snow that blew through here. I thought we would have been done with winter by now. I'm just glad I can use some of my light-colored winter clothes to pretend its spring.

Torontogirl- wearing both soft colors and bold colors well made it really hard to figure out just what my best colors were. I was seasonally confused for a while before I figured out I was a winter. (yay clarity!)

Windchime - You screen does not lie -- this lavender has silvery flecks in the yarn and the color itself has a gray undertone. Initially I though the sweater was gray with a lavender cast but when compared to the gray sweater this one just had more life to it. Sadly the gray one (which I considered) just wasn't as pretty.

Great sweater and jeans on you!  I've also been hunting around for good lavenders, and Jennifer Lopez clothes at Kohls do seem to have a lot of very very pale pastels that are lovely, blush and lavender in particular.
