Sundress + Cardi = happiness

So I went through my existing summer clothing to determine what fits and what is a wait until next year item. This Old Navy sundress was a happy surprise. The background is white and the design alternates between citron and chartruse. There is absolutely no stretch in it whatsoever, but it fits quite nicely (for now). I added my Crocs (errands) jewelry and fuchsia Old Navy cardigan and I was out the door. My hair is freshly washed so my usual sleeker style is out of the question.
I rather like this simple formula. My concern is I don't have any more sun dresses that will fit when this one gets too small, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

This works brilliantly DV - love the bright cardi over top and the dress looks fabulous on you.

Ohmigosh - so lovely! I like the sort of overlay, and the bright pink against the more subdued colours of the dress.

You look adorable! Being a mum-to-be suits you. I love the length of the cardi over the dress. I find the proportions really pleasing. Your hair is fab too :)

Love this! That final trimester is the toughest dressing, but does go by quickly.

What a beautiful, perfect outfit, and your hair is gorgeous. Amazing as always!

Pretty colors on you! I love your hair too :). And what better than crocs for a comfy running errands day :)

You are radiant in those colors, DV.

Oh, you look happy, too! As always, your strong sense of colors shines through in your choices. I love the triadic fuchsia/lime/green color scheme. The  dress is lovely, and I hope it fits you for many more weeks, because you look great in it. The fuchsia cardigan is a brilliant addition.

Many have used the word "radiant" but their just isn't a better word to describe you.

Beautiful! You look fantastic in this.  And look at how your baby bump is seriously shoooooowing now.  Gorgeous.  You are absolutely gorgeous.

You look great!  I found that dressing in the last trimester gets more difficult.  Even maternity clothes don't always fit anymore.

  • MsLuna replied 9 years ago

This is such a happy combination! I really like the colours! Also very relaxed yet ladylike!

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

    Gorgeous and glowing!

  • Aubergine replied 9 years ago

I was thinking "radiant" too! Love the hair and the color scheme.

Yeah to summer dresses!  I'm so glad you have items in your closet that still work for you!  The high waist in the floaty fabric is so flattering, and your use of color, as usual is terrific!

You all are so sweet to me. I felt really good wearing this. It was light weight and comfy. Especially since it was so humid. I'll probably have the chance to wear it again next week with my identical sweater in green.
I do apologize, as I've been AWOL on the forum all day. I have been trying to assemble a bare necessities list today since DH and I are actually going to purchase some things for the baby ahead of her arrival. We don't want to buy too much because people are going to continue to buy things off our registries, however there are somethings that are really spendy that we'll absolutely need sooner rather than later.

    Gorgeous! You are glowing :).

You are a lovely mama to be. The shape of the dress works well for you right now.

  • Thistle replied 9 years ago

You look gorgeous!  I love the combination. It will look equally smashing with green.

Hopefully, you found some lovely items for yourself and the little one.
