WIW for an appointment

Today's weather was actually springlike! The sun is shining and it's over 50 degrees outside. I had a few errands to run and in full sunlight this was actually comfortable. I brought along a wool coat as it was much cooler earlier this morning.
I'm wearing:

  • Old Navy Rockstar jeans in gray
  • Wool wrap sweater in gray
  • Simply Vera Wang sleeveless printed tee
  • Be Band
  • Sam Edelman Petty Python booties

There are those awesome Rockstars again… you look sharp! Love that wrap sweater. Where did you get it? The Petty python booties look particularly great with this ensemble. Enjoy your taste of Spring! Gray and icky here today, so please feel free to send a little sunshine this way. :-)

El Cee -- I got the wrap sweater from ModCloth.com I did not want to say so unless someone asked. I had such a horrible customer service experience with them and did not want others to share in the same fate.
My rockstars have been fabulous through this transition. I did not buy them for this purpose -- I bought them because I wanted skinny jeans in gray. I am nearly 20 weeks and they still zip and button comfortably (thank goodness for midrise!). Because I can't tolerate a belt anymore, they tend to slide down after sitting unless I wear my Be Band

In my head I have "parked" grey pieces until the next winter. Now you make me think there's room for it in spring wardrobe too. Great look. The booties give everything extra fab finish.

    Ooh - you look stunning!

Wow, you look great!  I love all the grey tones together and the different textures from the shiny shirt and the snakeskin shoes.

Love the gleam of the shirt - that takes the whole thing up several notches from casual!

Chic and fresh. I love the way the shimmer on the satin is reflected on your healthy apple-shiny skin. xo

  • Thistle replied 10 years ago

You look terrific! The shimmer is lovely, and the grey is fresh and fun.

And wasn't the weather today the best?!? I just had to pop out at lunch today to enjoy it!

Ornella - I love softer grays for spring -- especially with white or yellow. Charcoals not so much. You should definitely play around with gray.

Sara L., Angie, Thistle - It never ceases to amaze me that this plain old knit jersey t-shirt reads as satin in pictures. It has absolutely no sheen or shine whatsoever. I think it's the lovely print which looks like watercoloring that makes this t-shirt look like satin in pictures.

Thistle - BTW the weather was so lovely today. I can't wait until we can depend on most days being like this.

I'm in Indiana, visiting family.  The kids and I walked to Dog 'n Suds and actually ate outisde. OK, so the wind was a bit nippy and all the construction workers stayed huddled in their trucks while we ate at the picnic tables.  It felt awesome!

You look lovely in the elegant and comfy in your sleek grey and white.  Do you have any sunny yellow or citron accessories?  These colors look terrific with this shade of grey.

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

Beth Ann -- I only have one citron sweater and no citron accessories.  I love that combination too. I hope you're having fun in Indiana.
