Hair and a graphic tee for Labor Day

So yesterday was a lovely Labor Day. I went on a lakefront bike ride
with DH for the first time in 3 years. School and work schedules were not kind to us during that time. I usually make a point to ride on the lakefront as much as possible during the summer and DH usually needs the stars to align just so before venturing out on a bike -- not that he's a couch potato. He's done half marathons and triathalons etc. I think he's not as attached to biking on the lakefront as I am. DH is on vacation this week and is no longer in school so the timing was perfect.
 
I wore red shorts which you can barely see for the bike ride. Later on for dinner out I threw on my BF jeans which had been neglected for the past year because the temperature dropped.  Sadly, I dropped my camera while the lens was open between photos and now have to use my phone until my camera is repaired :-(  . To make up for my busted camera, I had a yummy
burger and apple pie a la mode for dinner (healthy yeah I know).

    I feel a little silly about the fact I didn't realize until recently when I bought these jeans 6 years ago that they were designed to be rolled which is why the inside seams on the outer leg was sewn using red thread. La la la..... I thought it was just meant to be pretty ;-)

    Oh my gosh, you look ADORABLE! It's so fun to see you... well... let your hair down! Ha ha. I think of you as being buttoned up and dressy, but you do casual so well, too!

    Sorry to hear about your camera.  Fun printed top, I think it's actually tough to find fun prints on tops, even though there are lots of them on the market.  Just most prints don't sing to me, but this one is a great find!

    Oh, so happy -- I have my new camera and a tripod -- no more dropping while adjusting the settings ;-)

    Lisa -- I got this tee from Threadless.com they have some of the most cleaver graphic tees I've ever seen.

    Florence -- mostly I like dressy and polished but that doesn't go well on a bike doing outdoor activities. I'm still working on dressing down but it seems I've made progress.

    Great look for a great day.  I love riding the lakefront, although I have to ride almost 45 miles to get there!  Bf's are great for transitional weather, aren't they?

    Beth Ann -- Absolutely BF jeans rolled work well for me up to about 80 degrees. They'll be just fine worn like this for at least another month.

    Shevia - I have been experimenting with my hair again. There's probably a post brewing in my brain about that saga.

    Karie- you are too kind! I feel like I am in my infancy with regard to developing my casual style, but I will take complements where ever I can find them.

    Angie - I'm glad you approve! In the olden days (last year, pre-YLF) I would not have bothered to post this outfit but developing my casual style is one of my style goals. I think this combination hit just the right note. I am still not altogether comfortable so dressed down, but I think this works for me because my hair and makeup are done -- so I feel polished in that way.

    Firecracker -- I am an admirer of your curls as well, they always look fabulous.

    Wow DV! I love you with your hair down and all casual like! Its so fun to see the fabbers in all aspects of their life... that is what being inherently stylish is about I believe!
