Back from KC

Another 10 hours in the car for the reverse trip. It was worth it to meet DH's extended family. Such lovely people. So this is outfit I wore to drive and I had DH snap this photo after only 2 hours of driving
I wanted to wear something comfortable and attractive. I love this tunic (another ON purchase) the colors are black white yellow and citron. It's light as air has just enough shape and volume with nicely shaped shoulders. I have had the shorts for about 3 years or so I picked them up from Sears  and I am wearing bronze ballet flats - I prefer sandals in the summer but when you're driving any comfy shoe will do.

Ballet flats are one of my go-to options for footwear when driving - I am always afraid sandals will get caught in the pedals. Very casual and comfy driving outfit - I love the yellow and citron in the tunic!

Hello gorgeous. It's a crime to look this good when you have to drive for so long, y'know ;-)

Fresh and pretty! And ideal for a car trip, especially the ballet flats.

You look very pretty. I'm glad the trip was worth it. Friends who go to Chicago about once a month from KC always take Amtrak as usually less expensive than driving and also a 10 hour trip, but they get the senior rate.

Very nice! Sometimes it's good to have just a little something covering the arms. Good to have you posting again!

Super beautiful on you! Love your specs, too, and what a great shirt. It's perfect for driving and family meeting.

You look so pretty, happy, and relaxed!  Bet the family loved meeting you.  Beautiful top!

    Love it!  Great summery look!

Pil - yep I specifically wanted to wear a top with sleeves because I did not want to get a one armed sunburn from driving. I learned my lesson about that last month when I wore a halter top for a long drive to a friend's going away party. Never again.
