Cheery orange

Well, today I spent too much time in my head. So while nothing horrible happened I just felt horrible. Not even orange could lift my mood. Though today was a REALLY good hair day. I think I will keep it curly for tomorrow too. I managed to scoop up one of those fun bubble necklaces in aqua for a fair price. (J. Crew should be sued for how much they charge). Anyway this is what I wore. Thanks for looking!

Edit -- oops forgot to upload the picture ;-)

Love it...."I spent too much time in my head....but it was a real good hair day!"  I know those days!  You look amazing in this color, DV.  Love the bubble necklace.  I've avoided these because I'm bustier than average --- year wear this so easily that I'm tempted to try again!

Turquoise + orange + curly hair = sassy and gorgeous spring DV!

Sorry you had a crappy day :(

Your hair is totally amazing - I love it like this.
Also love the orange with the necklace.
I see nothing wrong here but what didn't you like about it?

Love your hair, and I want a bubble necklace too!

LOVE the curly do! And you look stunning despite being too much in your head.

You DID have a good hair day! Sorry your day wasn't so great but with that lovely color combination you must have brightened the day for those around you.

Love the whole thing! Nobody looking at you would guess you'd had a crummy day. You are right about the price of those necklaces. Glad you got one for a little less!

YLF! I love orange on you, so pretty, and it looks so fresh and springlike. The turquoise really pops against it.

I'm so sorry you felt horrible, you certainly looked fantastic! I love, love, love the orange and blue. And those necklaces at J Crew are crazy expensive! So glad you got yours for less.

Oh my goodness you look smashing! I LOVE your hair and the orange sweater is amazing. But the best part is what you said about spending too much time in your head - I am glad I am not the only one!

Beth Ann -- I am totally encouraging you to get one. They provide the visual interest of a scarf without the volume.  Plus the length is adjustable and you can make them longer than the "valley" so nothing gets stuck so to speak.

Caro - I didn't think anything was wrong with my outfit. Today's saga began last week when I applied for several jobs. (Almost at the graduation finish line so I have to start earning my keep). I applied to this job and they responded but I missed the deadline to return a questionnaire for an interview because I got the e-mail 5 days after it was sent. Instead of e-mailing me at the address listed on my resume they responded back to me on the e-mail I sent which happened to be my work e-mail that I only have access to 2 days per week.
I am having a hard time shaking the feeling that I "lost" something. The truth is I never "had" anything.
I think I would feel better if I got a call for another interview.

Can you send the questionnaire back with an explanation? Just a polite note that you were expecting to be contacted on your résumé address... If I were the HR person I think I would feel bad!
You look amazing, love the colours and the hair!

I sent it back within an hour of arriving at work on Monday morning and I haven't heard anything. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
I thought if you really want a response from a particular candidate put in a phone call!  Leave a voice mail that says "I am sending you a questionnaire via e-mail since we were unable to connect on the phone..." (As a former recruiter this let me know who was really serious and who was just applying for any job posted)

The outside of your head looks beautiful, even if you weren't loving the inside!  Orange and blue are one of my favorite color combinations.  Love this.

Oh I so wish I had the guts to wear orange! AND aqua no less. So impressed. You look super.

  • replied 11 years ago

Orange and aqua are fantastic on you, and I love your curly do too! I hope some good offers come through soon!

If you're gonna be all up in your head, it's good to have such awesome hair!!  ;)  And that outfit is fab!  I love orange with turquoise!

Wow--great outfit, and I love the colors on you! You are so good at coming up with gorgeous, unexpected color combos that are super flattering on you.
Great way to face a less than stellar day!
You did your best; they might respond yet to that questionnaire, you never know.
