Glad it's Friday

Wow this week has truly been an obstacle course. I have not been very present on the forum as a result. Today's outfit was chosen 2 days ago. I like the simplicity. The sweater is doing all the work. As a result I was reminded of Angie's post yesterday on outfit simplicity and clean lines. I am a little irritated because the turtleneck and the khakis are navy blue but they look gray in these pictures. Anyway, I'm rambling. Tell me what you think.

I always love this sweater, and I think it looks great with navy. I really like that you chose a yellow belt too!

They look navy on my monitor. Gorgeous as always!

I love that you chose yellow for Friday! Your outfit is so upbeat for the end of the week. :) I agree that the sweater takes front and centre but the yellow belt and tan shoes keep the gold tones working from top to bottom and play off the navy so well.  BTW the top and pants look navy on my monitor.

    So elegant!

They look blue in the second picture and blue or navy, either would be fab!

Lovely DV! Your look makes me feel like I'm looking at a daisy: sunny, beautiful, joyful!  It makes me happy.

A sunny sweater to match your sunny smile! YLF, as always.

Due to collegiate loyalties I have an aversion to this particular color combination ;) but this does look really nice on you. It is sleek but still warm.

Maybe it's my old computer  -- at least you all can tell it's navy.

Pil -- too funny!  My undergrad rival was also blue and gold (I brake for animals but not wolverines!) Fortunately my high school colors were blue and gold.

I love this line "The sweater is doing all the work". Way to enjoy the individual pieces, make everything else a backdrop. I find that such focus on one key piece really helps me identify what it is that I love so much and why it works. Or not. Then I decide whether to sing the same tune again or abandon the whole concept.

This is one great idea and and beautiful execution. I love both colour schemes: yellow with (what's appearing as) gray and/or (what's actually) navy. Both sound fun, both photos look great.

Simple and crisp! The yellow sweater is brilliant as always! It sure is a statement piece.

Tell you what I think? I think you look smashing in an outfit with great fitting pieces, fab color combination and just the right accessory in the yellow belt.

After your stressful week, may your weekend be filled with stressfree fun. Yellow and navy looks so fresh and happy.

Yeah to preplanning outfits!  You understand how much it matters to have no fuss on particularly busy days, and how to look fab doing it.

And your artist's eye knows the value of well placed color and creating background/foreground for the eye.

Hope you have a restorative weekend!

Yes, clean simple lines- just fab! And in one of my favorite color combinations! I adore navy with yellow. For once a color actually appears as it should on my phone screen.

Beautiful! I love the color combination. The navy looks navy on my monitor.
