I feel like myself!

I think maybe I've got the proportions right finally -- so regardless of what my tummy is doing from week to week I can get dressed without trying to reinvent the wheel.
#1 Skinny jeans just don't do it for me. They're nice but as the weather warms up this silhouette isn't going to be my most flattering
#2 I need tops that stop right about my crotch or slightly below fitted is better (snug would be a disaster ;-))
#3 Bootcut, boyfriend or wide leg jeans & trousers work best (pregnant or not). I am so glad I ordered a new pair of jeans from LOFT I believe it was K.Period. (Thank you!!!) who told me they offer maternity clothes. I had been putting off getting jeans because I was afraid the inseams would be too short and the hips would be cut far too wide. The 33" inseam is perfect and that is exactly what LOFT offers. I am in heaven. I'm wearing:

  • ON cami in lavender
  • ON cardi with gray cheetah print 
  • LOFT maternity jeans 
  • Vera Wang Lavender Ballet flats

    You can't see me doing a happy dance for you!  The jeans are perfect for you, and the cami and cardi skim the body without clinging and have great length to them.  Yeah!

    Oh such a great feeling to have the proper inseam available.  You look great and have the best legs!  I love the lavender.

    Perfect jeans!!  They look fabulous on you. The cami and cardi are the perfect combination of length and fitted without being too snug.

    What a fantastic find. It's so great to locate an elusive item that we thought we might have to do without! You look terrific and just think -- you may be able to wear the non-maternity versions for MOTG.

    You look fantastic! The lilac and grey leopard is such a great combo. Those jeans may come in handy in the fourth trimester too.

    It feels amazing not to lose yourself in this time. It's exciting to be preggers but it can be overwhelming sometimes too esp when old fallback clothes and formulas no longer work. You are absolutely glowing in pic 2. So happy for you.

Woo hoo! ;)  The maternity wear options are great right now.  I'm glad you found your jeans.  It makes such a difference to feel like you are wearing clothes that are stylistically matched to you, doesn't it?  You look gorgeous and happy and perfectly divine in that outfit DV!  xo

    Lyn67 - You are so right fitting new jeans are a complete pain in the rear. I don't have energy for that battle right now. I was lucky enough to win on the first try when I ordered these online. They came in a record 2 days. It was a one and done search.

    Beth Ann - I think I did as much of a happy dance as I could too  when I discovered how well these fit.

    Suz - I had a suspicion that these jeans would probably work just fine. I have a non maternity pair of LOFT straight leg jeans that are probably 6 years old -- not sure about the inseam there but I have never looked like I needed more fabric with them. The old jeans were a great fit up until about week 16. These provide the same fit and quality they just have a built in belly band ;-)

    Christieanne - while my goal isn't to look not pregnant I am pleased that it was not the first thing you noticed -- score 1 for me!

    Abc - you captured my feelings exactly! I thought I'd never find my sweet spot. I can enjoy my clothes again (@ least some of them ;-))!

    K.Period. you completely deserved your shout out -- I truly did not know LOFT had maternity clothes and the inseams are PERFECT. Thanks again.

    YLF! I'm embarrassed to think back to what I wore while pregnant - though I still have one pair of knit shorts that I wear for warm weather painting :)
