Favorite Spring Dress

Here I go again with the green, but this dress looks SO nice with green. I love this over-sized sweater I picked it up last year in fuchsia too.  This is my favorite day dress. It has butterflies on it and it's a little too big but I don't care that's why they make belts. I saw this while browsing online last year and copied the outfit almost exactly. I wear this dress the same way every time I wear it, do you have any other styling suggestions?

Dress: Old Navy
Sweater Old Navy
Shoes: red lace ballet flats  from DSW
Bag: Liz Claiborne
Belt: 7 Hills from Piperlime

I am not going to suggest anything except wear this often. Ok, how about bright green or blue shoes for a change of pace. You look beautiful!

Gorgeous. Love that green on you! The butterflies and a fun whimsical and pretty touch.

This doesn't need improving but if you want a change you could try it with a white belt and a jean jacket and maybe some blue espadrilles.

You could belt over top of the cardigan.  Or switch out a different color cardigan.  Looks like many would go.

Day Vies, is there anything you can't wear? Every color looks fantastic on you, dresses that are a little big look fantastic on you, I could go on and on...

I LOVE this dress! It looks so fun, cool, comfortable, pretty (I could keep going with the adjectives, too).

You could wear the dress with a different colored sweater, a denim jacket, cute sandals of one of the colors in the dress...

Day Vies- I love this on you. You are great with the springy, fresh dress looks. So well done. For variety you could try a light or bright belt, You'll want to wear this often

You need to model for Kate Spade :)

Well, this is a little different and whimsical for you in a good way!  I love the print with the green - so pretty.  *lyn will love this - did she post already?

How pretty! I love the butterflies and green together. The belt takes care of any "big" issues you may have. I think you look lovely. :-)

Wow, this is a great outfit! As for mixing it up, the great thing is that you could wear almost any coloured topper, shoes or bag with this dress - yellow, red, blue, green like what you are wearing, etc. - because of all the beautiful colours. But I love the way you've styled it here, especially with the fantastic belt.

I love how the brown belt toughens the sweetness a bit. Just beautiful!
If you want a different styling, those blue butterflies would like to be meet a denim jean jacket someday.

What a beautiful dress, I love the butterfly print and the green cardi is the perfect topper>

I can totally see why this dress is a favorite - it has a very Anthro vibe. Love!

    Cute dress!!!!

Such a pretty dress and such a fresh springtime look. I agree with Shevia -- no improvements possible, but if you want to play with the colours you can try a different shoe or belt!
  • Nicole D replied 10 years ago
Joy's right, the belt adds a bit of an edge.  Beautiful and perfect for spring.
  • pil replied 10 years ago

    Springy, floaty loveliness!

Fab frock! Love  it with the belt!!!! You can wear with any other color cardi or jacket, even denim, if you would like!
  • carolbee replied 10 years ago

Loving this dress on you, so fresh looking. Also you rock that green cardi.

This is perfect as is but I do have a suggestion, only because you asked for them: what about wearing a belt in the russetty red of the butterfly detail, which is repeated in your shoe and lipstick colour?

Sooooooo gorgeous on you DV! I walked past this dress in ON and didn't even give it a second glance - and you are ROCKIN' it!

It would look cute with a cropped denim jacket and sandals for a more casual look too.

I know it's "only" the shoes, but my first thought was, "You need to wear a lot more red." Seriously. I'm writing you out a scrip for red right now. That said, I did look at the whole outfit and you look fresh, breezy and your typical lovely self.

What a fun colorful dress. I would so wear it. LOL!  You look great.

I can see why that dress is a favorite, DV- it looks beautiful on you! I like the way you've styled it, but if you want to change it up I think a lighter belt might be pretty; white or maybe yellow? The fun thing about the dress is that is has a lot of different colors that you can pick up for your belt, topper, and shoes, so you pretty much can't go wrong.

That dress is so gorgeous and the belt and cardigan just make the outfit purr.  Marking another of your posts as a favorite!

Fantastic DV! It's such a lovely dress and I love how you picked out more than 1 shade from the dress for your accessories.
  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago
Great dress DV! Love the butterflies in the grass theme--so fresh and springy! How about some accessories like belt, pumps or bag in yellow, orange or white?

You look so fresh and pretty!

Sweet! You make whimsical so grown up!

Just looking at this outfit makes me so happy. I am sure you have heard it before, if something looks fab on you once, what is wrong with looking that way 100s times more ?

I think that you have some versatility because of all the great colors. Maybe a color belt ?
