Reinterpreting an old favorite

So, I really wanted to wear something in the vein of picture #2. I really loved the colors and the balance of pattern and color blocking. I couldn't just wear the same thing simply because I did not want to wear a skirt and tights today. I thought I would challenge myself to come up with something that felt similar but was different. #1 is the result. What do you think?

They are both fantastic! As you said similar but quite distinct.

DV, this looks like a homerun to me ... you are the master of color use in my book ... you never miss! Looks fantastic!

I can definitely see the inspiration from your previous outfit. It's fun to challenge ourselves, especially when the result is a fabulous as this.

Karie - I think you hit the nail on the head. I need a challenge other than deciding what to wear :-)

Day Vies, I love how you've kinda rearranged the colours... still black, white, green and the skinny yellow belt, but moved around. It's a nice example of working with a defined colour palette.

You've captured the essence of your original outfit very well, and created another fabulous outfit. I love your use of colour blocking -  really striking.

Great remix, this has the same color blocking vibe, just without the skirt.  Nice job!

Both versions are great, but the white sweater in #1 really pops!
